UX/UI
Our design for Lifeboat features a clean, straightforward website that’s easy to navigate, with well-organized product categories. This helps their target customers, such as directors and DPs, find and rent gear. So far, the only metric of success is client feedback.
This project aims to design a website that's simple to navigate, aligns with Lifeboat's modest brand identity, enables easy product management, and highlights productions that have used their gear.
The Lifeboat website starts with a homepage focused more on aesthetics, featuring production videos, highlighted products, and featured productions. The second layer is the product index, giving a broader overview of available equipment. The final layer provides detailed product information, with no focus on aesthetics, offering everything the client needs to know.
We designed the site with a white and monotone color palette to align with Lifeboat's modest brand. UI elements like product cards and listings offer a clear overview of the equipment, while the top bar serves as a shortcut for easier browsing.
The project includes an admin panel that allows Lifeboat to easily update homepage content, such as changing the featured product showcase. It also enables them to upload and edit product details as needed.
In this project, we used primitive tokens for colors and text styles to maintain consistency, and created reusable design components for a cohesive look.
